Not in the mood.

It's been a while since I wrote my last blogspot, so I though I should give it a try and make one up again. In between so many things have happened, like the Crossing Border festival in The Hague & where I saw Ludo again!

You would've probably expected me to update my Blogspot as soon as I arrived at home after my day at the beach and city of The Hague. Well nope, because I was only home around 2:30 AM with dad and I spend the next day eating and watching films because I wasn't in the mood. I'm still not really in the mood, this week has just been so shitty, I just hate it.They say, what's down must go up and it does, but they don't mention the fact that 'once it's up, it always goes down' again. Oh bugger, I wish they would've told me earlier than I could've mentally prepared myself for this week, you know?

But either way, I was at The Hague and at the beach and it was lovely. Dad and I spend about 2 hours on the beach looking for shells and taking pictures. Because it was foggy and stuff, it looked really cool and the sun was coming half-way through and the weather wasn't cold; it was nice to walk around and just smell the sea and watch over nothing but water. The knowledge you have, it's weird. When you look at the sea, you just instantly think 'Oh hey water' but underneath there is a whole world we don't know. There's a whole fucking world under it; animals, long lost treasures whatsoever. It freaks me out.

This was taken approximately 10 years ago, so I was about 6/7 years old and I've been back there this weekend for the first time in 10 years and somehow I really felt emotional. It was insane. Only my brother wasn't there with me, so we couldn't retake the picture which makes me sad.
After the beach we went to the city center of The Hague to eat. The coolest thing was actually, the fact I've been at the 'Binnenhof' because I've never been there and it's practically one of the most important places if you look at it, it's were the whole government is all the time to consider/reconsider and make this whole country work. I felt blown away, it was stunning. We ate at this Italian Place, which looked really small but actually wasn't. We ate pizza and some pasta and left because it was getting too busy and I was constantly looking around and it felt so 'pushed onto each others lap' it was that busy. I left for Crossing Border and met up with Ludo and went inside.
Now, one thing you should know: Crossing Border is a festival for people who are intellectual really smart and loves to hear people read stories and poets.. Damn. The average age was about 35 I think. Ludo and I were the only younger girls, unless you also count the damn whole fanclub Ed Sheeran had. We left to the venue (yes, there were different kind of venues with people and bands) where Ed Sheeran was going to play and we waited, so we saw Loch Lomond and they were actually really good. The guy looked like a total hipster and there was another dude just sitting there doing nothing and randomly touching some instruments, and there was a girl playing the piano. We left and arrived on time for Ed Sheeran, we were about 3rd row I think? He was really awkward though and made some jokes. He started off with 'Give Me Love' which made my heart explode from the inside because it was amazing and also my favorite song from his album '+'. He followed up with Lego House.. I did hope for Rupert Grint to walk onto the stage and sing it, but no Rupert.

Then, the time of my life started. Patrick Wolf was doing a Meet & Greet. I'll just save you the details because it was awkward  and I made him sign a Tea Towel for my mum and yes it reminds me of my mum and Patrick laughed at me while he was probably secretly judging me but hey, at least I wasn't wearing a wolf on my head, was I? No I was wearing cat ears!
I also met Ed Sheeran as well. He was cute and awkward and really cute but scary as well LOOK AT HIS HEAD SIZE DEAR LORD. He looks like this cute tiny ginger you want to have in your pocket all day long and just take care of aww.

After meeting Ed (because we had too much time but not TOO much time because we had to head back for Patrick Wolf) we raced back and managed to get front row seats. I was just in the middle of the theater and when Patrick went through his knees I could grab his crotch if I wanted. So close guys!
Most perfect human being I know. Next to Ludo.

I'll just die in peace now and cry in my pillow because Patrick Wolf blew me away. Did I mention he walked through the theater when he sang 'The Falcons' and high-fived Manon, Ludo's friend? He's cool like that yes. So, in the end, the past weekend was heaven and I hope to have a blast this weekend as well because I'm going to play Amnesia at Max's. I'm scared.

Bake A Cake

This morning, I got woken up by my friend who jumped on top of me while she was having a coffee. It might sound tacky and cheesy, but it was really cute. Since she spend the night with me, we were really bad and stayed up until 1 AM. We came home after 5 hours spending time in the city walking around dressed up as a 'Zwarte Piet' since Sinterklaas arrived again. My (volunteers)work needed two person to hand out flyers and such so I said we'd do it and we did. It was actually a lot of fun, but some kids are really a pain in the ass and they're rude. It's weird when you're dressed up, because you really can't risk saying anything bad since Sinterklaas doesn't exist. Though, dressing up was fun and somehow you become famous in a blink. People took pictures with us and asked for candy and asked how Sinterklaas was doing, it was cute.

The make-up was everywhere. And with everywhere, I do mean everywhere; my earlobes and inside my ear is still black and inside my nose a bit as well. In my hair there's still make-up. After the long day, we went home ate something and spend 1,5 hours in my bubblebath. I should take more time for bubblebaths with friends, it's really cool to do, plus very fun as well! Then we watched Tangled downstairs and moved our asses to my parent's bedroom where we could sleep and watched Thor for an hour. One word: Loki.

She left this morning really early, which left me wandering around the house, cleaning stuff, feed Napoleon and the fishes. Then, I decided to back a cake and some muffins. I found a few packages to make cakes and cupcakes of, so it was really easy. I also made a playlist to listen to while baking and such, but in the end the soundtrack of Amélie it was. It was marvelous.

I found these packages in our closet, but I only used the front two. The Stracciatella Cake mix and the muffin mix. I love these mixes, because I am lazy and I only have to add some eggs and water and you have your mix fully done. 20 minutes to an hour in the oven and you're done. Of course I always use things to make it look more decent: I add sprinkles, chocolate sauce or topping

This is supposed to be our chocolate cake mix. It looks fucked up, it also took 1 hour to bake.

First I wanted to have it blue but I figured out I had to use the whole bottle to get it smurf-ish blue, and I didn't want that. Instead it got a bit tooth-paste colored and after that I found a red bottle, which I put in it and created this masterpiece. It wasn't fully stirred, so it became purple/pink with the toothpaste colored one.

Oops, still some blue!

And as the final result, which is absolutely delicious... THE CAKE.

Even though I spend my day baking cakes and sorting out our 500 DVDs plus making lists on the computed for printing out and adding to the baskets, I had a fun time. You know what's still bothering me though? Why is it that I really don't miss having friends or doing something fun, like going outside and party. I don't miss it. Is it me or is it in general, that I come from this wicked generation we're a shitload of badasses who spend their time on tumblr and on the internet instead of socializing, making new friends and eventually get a boyfriend? Mmm. Someone should explain me! X

Oh no!

5 November 2011: The day a crack in the universe appeared. Erm, I mean the day when I met the coolest person to be alive, the lovely Ludo. I love her so much I even travel 2 hours after 6 hours of sleep, broken bones and a neckache *insert sarcasm sign*! Around 11:45 I arrived and found her sitting at the starbucks where I gave her my presents, an almighty squeaking carrot and the wolf necklace! We went on our way to the Primark, what is like heaven. Okay, except for all the people because it's busy everywhere! But really, I adore all the things I bought. Penguin pyjamas, penguin mug, even penguin briefs if I am not mistaken.. Take a look!
PENGUINS! The penguin pajama was the very first one I put in my shopping basket, and along I found this really cute mug and those socks. I don't even have any reasons why I bought it, just look at it.
Upper left: Green tights (primark)  with a belt I bought at the airport at Pieces. It's a bit too small... Upper right: The rubber ducky and Ludo's drawing she made for me. I love beavers. Down left: Nailpolish; blue, black, red/orange and a lipgloss, H&M. Down right: Amazing woolen vest I bought at the primark. I'm in love!

Have I told you Ludo is the most amazing person ever? Like ever ever forever ever. And her mum is so lovely, I already told Ludo that they should adopt me and become my second family because I actually see myself spending shitloads of time with her! Then we went to eat something at La Place after discussing that I had to decide where to eat (after Ludo's mum told me they were my slaves.. Odd, O tell ypu!) and we just had a lovely lunch. Thanks to her mum by the way, she paid for it! Occasionally making pictures of what you're going to eat is contagious.
Omelet with champions and ruccola. It was delicious!

They brought me back to Schiphol where I thought to catch my train. But travelling by train is a risk and so I had a delay of one hour, which gave me time to get food, new nailpolish, lipgloss and a tiny belt just because it was cheap. Also, the H&M played Marina and The Diamonds, which made me so happy! I treated myself on a cup of vanilla rooibos tea. Yummm. And here I am, on my way back home, writing this with a backache thanks to this shitty wall chair because I don't want to sit in the coupé next to some person I don't know. On top of that, I'll be seeing her again in two weeks and party at the Crossing Border festival with Patrick Wolf! I also have a challenge: Win the M&G with Patrick Wolf and make him wear my wolf hat. And pictures, because everyone is like "pics or didnt happen 0mfg"

Day well spend, and with well I mean, best day of my entire last month! But hey, I love you Ludo and I am glad I can call you my best friend because I wouldn't want to have it another way :-)
