Boots

 

Boots. Who doesn't love them. Sophisticated with heals, messy without heels. Studded, plain, ribbons as laces, messed up, worn out and second handed. Black boots that doesn't divide between male or female are becoming more and more 'the must need shoe'. For a day at the woods, a weekend at a festival with lots of mud or just a day when you feel like wearing an over-sized knitted grandma sweater with black skinnies. To me, those are the most casual yet kind-of-rocking-it outfits that everyone needs to have in there closet, just so you could throw it together very easily. 

 Whether you have money or not, it's easy to get your hands on black boots. Every single shop at least sells two different black boots. I'd most likely go with boots with an edgy rock, so let go all your worries that you'd ruin your shoe, because in this case it's okay to ruin it. Get it dirty, worn out, wear them with a black jegging and a dashing white blazer and bling-bling earrings. As for the studs, you can get rid of them. Or just can just buy those studded collars for dogs in little cheap shops and bind them twice on the ankle of the shoe.


Go around to shops you never walk into. Just spontaneously. I got 2 high boots for 4 euros once at claire's (a british jewelry store) and 30 euros pair or edgy black boots for 30 euros at Van Haren. Budgets, budgets, budgets. Make sure you have those or you will fail. Get your priorities straight. Yes, priorities for shoes. Because shoes are a my best friend, among my basket of nailpolish, my comics and my internet connection.

Hello everyone!
 
The last couple of days I've been kind of relaxed and thanks to a very great website AND app called '3voor12' I managed to scoop some great new artists, such as Seams, Alberta Cross, Linnea Olsson and Cheek Mountain Thief. In this case Linnea Olsson caught my eye. Linnea is a singer-songwriter from Sweden, cellist by Ane Brun. Her album 'AH!' has 11 songs, starting of with 'The Ocean'. It's a bitter sweet symphony, the sound of a cello by her. Very dreamy and catchy. It works when you're upset about something or when you need to sit down and relax. The rest of the album is like that as well, turning reality into fading dreams.

I realised singer-songwriters are - to me - the most kind of honest musicians you will ever meet. No pressure, just their thing and own sound. Most of them stay true to their own voice and abilities, waving the companies goodbye as they tell you what to change if they want a record. Strong, independent artists that are now getting more and more asked to be on festivals such as Leeds, Reading, Pinkpop, Lowlands and so on. I recommend listening to her if you're into the singer-songwriter and hit me up if you want more.

Hello again!  Today I went shopping with my mother to a really nice store to get things for school again and some other make up, accessorizes and whatever I run in to. Today I basically came back with a bag with a lot of things, such as deodorant, fine liners for school, pencils, textbooks, make up brushes and dark chocolate M&Ms. Though, these too really did catch my eye; the green tea and the decenario bracelets

Formosa Pomegranate Green Tea
Always curious and very fond of green tea, I had to try this. It came in a really nice bottle and I really liked the outlay. Usually bottles like Fanta and Coca Cola are only filled for half; this green tea was filled until the lid! (ALWAYS GOOD, THE MORE THE BETTER) Next to this one there was another variant but I am not sure whether it was Peach Green Tea or Lemon Green Tea... Hmm maybe next time? It's unusually nice to drink, especially with the warm weather. IF you run into this; buy it! If you don't have it, just buy Green Tea anyways because it's yummy for the tummy and good for your health. The Japanese already knew centuries ago that green tea is good for the body and for the mind. The drink contained pure first quality superior tea from Japan and Taiwan!

Decenarios bracelets

The bracelets caught my eye because I can spend hours at the jewelry and quirky other things! I found these and for what I had to pay... Nothing! (€0.68 at Action). Now let me explain, because I did some research! These bracelets are originated in South America and Spain and made famous by Shakira at the World Cup 2010. Basically, thanks to Shakira they became more and more popular! 'Decenarios' are knotted rosary bracelets, wearable around your wrist and ankle. Both woman and man can wear them. They can also be used as chaplets, and in some communities these are even given away during religious rituals. Each colour has it's own meaning, in this case I have Turquoise, Purple, Lavender, Pink and Light Blue: Clarity/Concentration, Inner Strength, Romance/Happiness, Consolation/Comfort & Reconciliation.

The Meaning of Decenario bracelet colors:
White: Friendship, Purity
Green:  Health, Ambition, Go-Getter
Yellow: Energy, Increase Creativity
Red:  Love, Passion, Courage
Pink: Consolation, Romance
Brown: Concentration, Stability, Strength 
Grey: Wisdom, Faith
Orange:  Success, Attraction, Happiness
Light Blue:  Reconciliation, Health, Tranquility
Dark Blue: (Self) Confidence, Knowledge
Turquoise:  Recharge spirit, Clarity, Concentration

This is basically what I have been up to: shopping. Whether it's online or in town, I love it. Despite I spend my money rather on comics, I am very happy with the new things I bought over the summer. Since I don't have a job, I am not used to buying things but my work for the schoolboard paid off very well, just as the celebration of my 18th birthday! I've never been a quite spender but I know where to find amazing things for {almost} nothing. It's something wise I've learned from my mother; how to spend money without spending too much money. Anyways, hope you all have been fine!

Shakespeare in the Park

I went to see The Avengers yesterday and I really do not know where to begin. And with almost nothing to say, I'm going to try to write a review without any spoilers in it. It's going to be fun, trust me, since I am just as lost as you poor souls drooling around in their own tears [for the ones that have seen him] Just before I begin to explain all my feelings and emotions, just know that I will try not to spoil.


Before the film started they showed the Avengers trailer, which was a bit ironic if you ask me. I noticed we were placed in a tiny space for watching the film and it wasn't that busy after all. If you don't count those two birthday parties with 30 10 year olds running around the place and jumping up the chairs. Which was rather annoying. Anyhow, when the film started my heart was in my throat already because I was so excited and it's the film we've been waiting for for ages now. The moment it starts you just get dragged into the film immediately. Well, if you haven't seen Thor... You should slam your head in a wall because it wouldn't make any sense. Also, the road to the Avengers was right at the end of Thor with Loki. I was baffled because I didn't know what was going on but I was so damn excited I kept telling my mother to shut up because I had dem feels. Loki-feels especially. Like they said, he's a trickster and his mind is a box of kittens. I don't know how and what his problem is but he has a lot of them and I bet 99 of his problems are all the daddy issues, clearly. There was this scene in Stuttgart, from the trailer and let me just say... I think that's my favorite scene of all times. The fact he just walks around in a bad ass bamf suit with a cute scarf is too much to handle. I think I also found the thing that is the most terrifying about Loki: HE SMILES TOO MUCH. It's actually creepy, with everything he does and all the clever retorts. He's just really a little kid with his mind being a box full of kittens and 99 problems are the daddy issues. Onwards we go, my Loki feelings are taking over. 


Iron Man AKA Tony Stark, Stark Goes Green... Man, he's absolutely amazing as well. With everything he does. He acts like a superstar, and I got my AC/DC tune like I hoped for. Tony Stark doesn't go without AC/DC! I think he didn't take it as serious and then BAM something happened and he realized the world isn't the same anymore. And that's why I love Anthony. It's like he needs a push before he knows it's serious business.


Thor. Captain. Black Widow. Hawkeye. Banner. My god. I think I am running low in words to describe them all apart from each other because help, feelings flying around. Feelings about Thor/Loki, Natasha/Clint, Tony/Bruce, Bruce/Captain, Captain/Tony and all the other ships there are. It's like a damn fleet of ships to be honest and Fury is it's captain. Can I just say a big bravo to Cobie Smulders and Clark Gregg as well? Guys, The Avengers is a film on it's best. Let me assure you; money well spend! I was completely blown away by everything that film had to offer me. Also I was sure I'd have nightmares about Loki because Tom Hiddleston's acting just hit me right in the face, he punched me and then knocked me out. It was marvelous. Mark Ruffalo, you tiny amazing human creature, I owe you my heart. I wouldn't have imagined anyone else playing the Hulk like he did. Or Chris Hemsworth as Thor, with your thick Australian accent and those biceps... Just, no. Stop. I bet everyone else on set was like 'Oh man Thor, put away those guns. Please. Will you?' and everyone would go around pat Mark on his head and fangirl over Robert Downey Jr and prank Tom all the time. Only because this flawless cast is absolutely flawless. And Renner.. He won my heart, he really did. 


Let's also not forget, dear friends, the humor in this film. It will hit you in the face when you certainly won't expect it and it's hilarious too. You've got films where they throw in jokes just to make a crying theatre laugh, but I'm pretty sure Whedon did those things so it would still be something real. After all, they are superheroes with barriers too. They need their chances and need to express their feelings.


Whedon just gets your heart and your soul and after the film you beg him to please take your body over because you can't handle it anymore. As a fan, I'm overwhelmed by what we got because it was more than I ever dreamed of. As a total outsider; Go have a marvel Marathon, and run to the theaters afterwards because this is the must-see film of the year. 


I applaud all of them. Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr, Samuel L Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders and a standing ovation for Kevin Feige and Josh Whedon. Bravo. 

By the way, I'm going to see it again this weekend. Ssssh!

Avengers Assemblaaaaaargh

Bonjour beautiful personnes.

Do any of you have a clue about what this post is going to be? No? Are you sure? Ever heard of The Avengers, does that ring a bell? IT DOES? That's great because only the UK switched the title to Avengers Assemble. Anyways, I think you know that I've been to England for the Avengers Premiere at Westfield... Someone should punch me in the face because I was in London all week. Oops. Though, not everything went smooth

First we had problems with the booking and they switched dates for the premiere about 5 times and in the end we had booked for the wrong days, so we had to clear that up first. Then when we finally were in London, my friend her bankpas stopped working and so did mine. I was so upset I cried in the middle of the Tesco, since I had only 10 pounds left in cash. Luckily, my dad got to clear everything up and I could use it again. God bless my dad. Then we also slept through the alarm. I had set it on 6 AM european time. But suddenly my phone started to live his own life and then changed it so 6 AM UK time. And we were meeting at 5:45 at Earl's Court. OOPS. In the end we were at Westfield around 7:15 AM and we started queuing and withing 15 minutes we were inside.

We met some lovely girls in the queue and we ended up standing with them as well; they were both dressed up as their favorite marvel character so they also won tickets for the pre-screening. They looked lovely! Then Lisa, a friend of San joined in and we had a blast. In my opinion we had a blast haha. Until about 12/1 we could walk in and out and around 2 these girls were beginning to stand up already and from that moment I've been standing all along, until 9/10-ish?

It's kind of overwhelming and giving me another knot in my stomach because I still can't believe it was real. I feel like it was just a dream, but it wasn't. It happened guys and I was there. At 11 they were already checking the entries and this guy kept yelling 'Ladies and Gentleman, here is Robert Downey Jr!' about 30 times and every time this girl would appear pretend to be Robert. It was awkward but we kept clapping... Also they kept playing the Avengers trailer so I definitely know it by heart now, probably seen it another 200 times. Our places were good in overall; we were standing across the paparazzi, which was amazing since we randomly appear on pictures that keep coming on my dash and I just sit here being quite happy with everything. Let me just tell you something; I got more than I have ever dreamed of, because I keep it low and never get my hopes up high. I don't even have 25% of what I could get and I am so happy with everything.

This random man was presenting it and it was really cool, he was very laid back and awesome but he kept going to the same people all over again and I kind of vomited in my mouth because it was horrible haha. Then he announced these special clips of the Avengers all the time; SPOILERS, ACTUALLY. So my friend and I ended up with our fingers in our ears and not looking anywhere because we hadn't been on tumblr for a week and people kept laughing at us but honestly, MARVEL, stop spoiling my god I want to be alive when I see the film not already half dead because of everything that is going to happen. 

Okay well ehm let's start from the very beginning. As I remember, Chris Hemsworth was the first to come on stage and appear for the press and stuff! He signed a lot, my god. After the paparazzi he went all the way around and signed everything. I saw he was taking pictures so I don't know how and what but I asked for a picture and he was like 'YEAH SURE'. A few seconds before that he almost signed my Thor comic twice by the way. Also, turns out I was on the big screen when we took a picture and god bless Paul Fraser Bird for taking this picture, it's the most amazing thing I've come across today.

Right before this picture was taken Robert Downey Jr signed my Civil War, which is a beauty. He looked at it twice to double check and then he kind of creepily laughed at it and skipped further on. I couldn't see him clearly because this nut kept putting her ENORMOUS book in front of my face. Excuse me.... Eh Tom skipped by as well because he had to do the interviews but then he blew some air kisses and promised to get back. Later on Mark Ruffalo appeared. I remember Robert Downey Jr posing for the fans first and he kept twirling around and he also played the air guitar when they played a rock song? Oh god he was so perfect I need to contain my stomach for a moment. It's kind of funny because every time I think back to it, my stomach just gets into this knot pushing me to vomit. 

Jeremy Renner actually started skipping on the red carpet like you guys have seen in GIFs. He was so precious to see skipping down and wait for the arrivals to finish. Instead of the arrivals waiting for him, he waited for them and then took pictures. While doing that Scarlett was announced and he started fist pumping and doing some squats(!!! JEREMY RENNER IS PERFECT OK !!!) In the mean time Clark Gregg signed my moleskine and he was so nice and polite. Jennifer Grey looked great as well, she's so beautiful. Everyone is so beautiful I could cry.

After Scarlett, Cobie Smulders came out and Kevin Feige talked about directing and from that point everything is just one happy blur. No wait. TOM CAME BACK. HE CAME BACK. God bless Tom Hiddleston, for real. From everyone that I've met and seen I was hyped and then he signed my 1883 and I was completely starstruck. I didn't know what to say. He said something like 'Oh woah you've got 1883!' and I just nodded and let out a '...yeahhh' and I forgot to give him my Kermit The Frog Keychain as well and if he only knew that we traveled through whole London. Every single W H Smith, every booth at Canary Wharf. And then you randomly find it at this booth with a few magazines... He was adorable. Also when he was signing, he just randomly said 'I washed my hair today' [heard that afterwards] and just sklhklshdskhsda-ing all the way.




Random things you don't care for but need to be said:
- Tom was a sweetheart and all you others bitching about him should go home, leave tumblr, roll of this side of the earth and go live at the bahamas. Or somewhere far away, because you guys, if he doesn't come, it's not necessary to scream 'OH MY GOD YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!!111'
- Like the girl behind me at some point, she was cheering for every single x-factor star and she was screaming her head of and then they didn't come and she was like 'oh screw you' or 'fuck you mannnn'
- Jeremy Renner jumped up and down all the time, he's like a little child
- RDJ laughed at my Civil War. A creepy laugh. And then I read Joss Wedon thought Civil War would be a good plot for a new film [...]
- Chris Hemsworth is so motherfucking tall my god. If I didn't know better I would think he's Jesus Christ himself.

It was so bloody amazing. Everything. The crowd, the paparazzi, THE ACTORS. I just want to give a big shout out and a hug to Chris, Robert, Tom, Clark, Cobie, Jeremy, Scarlett, Mark, Elsa, Jennifer, Kevin for making my day, month, year, life. Despite all the things that went wrong, I had the absolute time of my life. I also want to thank all the girls I met that day including Nadia and Lisa. Gosh you gals... My heart is so big, you have all of my love.

A big hug to everyone and take care of yourself. I will be back soon.
